Mission
To make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
Program accomplishments
- The PTA organized the school fundraiser. The funds raised were used to support school activities and provide materials for classroom use to benefit all children. Teachers submit requests throughout the year for items they need to support learning and engagement in the classroom. The majority of board members must approve the requested expenses to ensure the funds benefit learning in the classrooms. Items included equipment, activities, and materials for classrooms, class sets of books, motivational items for encouraging achievement, etc. The principal is given a discretionary budget to be used for items the school needs. This allows the principal to purchase items as needed between board meetings. The board voted to provide the principal with a budget of $10,000. The majority of the expenses were used for software upgrades, classroom technology needs for student tools, etc. All students are invited to attend a grade-level dance provided by the PTA to encourage engagement and community within their grade level. Additionally, as it is their last year in middle school, 8th grade students are rewarded with a field day to celebrate their accomplishments.Expenses $68,915
