    Expenses $129,012
  • H.E.L.P. (Heal and Eradicate Lingering Poverty) is a project where we prevent homelessness by providing short term emergency financial resources to HVH participants who are women at risk of homelessness. Providing assistance such as food, gas, and household needs as well as helping them avoid eviction, having utilities and cell phones disconnected needed to maintain or obtain employment through rental, utility, and cell phone assistance, or connecting them with other community resources. We have housed women temporarily to avoid them living in places not meant for habitation or were in an unsafe situation. We have assisted women with transportation to get items out of storage when moving out of the womens shelter, gas to fuel their car when need to get to work, etc. Each request is reviewed on a case by case basis. Once applications are submitted, they are reviewed by our team and if approved, bills are paid to a third party. Incomplete applications or applications are not considered. In 2025 we helped 31 women avoid eviction, 9 utility shut-offs avoided, and made over 73 referrals to community resources to stabilize the women we serve including food, counseling, clothing and furniture referrals, etc.
    Expenses $61,323
  • TALK (Teaching & Aspiring Lasting Knowledge) provides monthly workshops for women to promote self-realization and empowerment and to teach independent living skills. We bring in subject expert speakers to encourage women and to teach on various topics such as: Housing Resources, Health and Wellness, Employment Preparedness, Financial Security Self-Care, and Debt Reduction. Workshops are free and lunch is provided. These workshops serve as an opportunity for women to learn a new skill, meet likeminded people and to build a support network. During 2025 the organization conducted 36 life skills workshops.
    Expenses $30,241
