Program accomplishments

  • DRC: Funding was provided to our nonproft partner, Congo Biotropical Institute (CBI), to explore traditional forests of DRC's Tshuapa province and substantiate the potential for a large-scale conservation project. Multiple expeditions were undertaken to meet with local communities and leaders to understand their priorities for their land and discuss interest for community-led forest conservation projects. By invitation from the community, biologal assessments were undertaken in the forests via camera trapping.Initial survey results reveal that the forested area of interest is highly diverse and merits protection.
    Expenses $77,556
  • Peru: WildFF facilitated the sale of the Las Piedras Amazon Center concession between ARCAmazon and JungleKeepers. Legal negotiations were carried out between all stakeholders to ensure the 11,000-acre concession was titled to a buyer committed to the continuation of its conservation legacy.
    Expenses $20,959 · revenue $100,720
