Mission
TO CHAMPION A CULTURE OF EXCELLENCE. THE ORGANIZATION HONORS, INSPIRES, PRESERVES, AND EDUCATES ABOUT EXCELLENECE IN SOUTH DAKOTA.
Program accomplishments
- A COMMEMORATIVE MAGAZINE AND NEWSLETTERS ARE PUBLISHED ANNUALLY AND SHARED WITH CONSTITUENTS. ELEVEN OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUALS ARE ELECTED AND HONORED AT AN ANNUAL HONORS CEREMONY. THROUGH ITS LEGACY OF ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM, THE SD HALL OF FAME PRESERVES THE HISTORY OF 804 INDUCTEES TO DATE. THE LEGENDS AND LEARNING PROGRAM WAS REVISED TO INCLUDE UPDATED TEACHER RESOURCES FOR ELEMENTARY TEACHERS. THE LESSONS MEET SELECT STATE LEARNING STANDARDS.Expenses $683,427
