Mission
SCHOOL NUTRITION ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH DAKOTA (SNASD) IS DEDICATED TO BEING RECOGNIZED EXPERTS, WHO ADVOCATE THE LINK BETWEEN NUTRITION, HEALTH, AND EDUCATION. TOGETHER, WE ARE MAKING THE RIGHT FOOD CHOICES FOR OUR STUDENTS. 1) PROVIDING MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS IN SCHOOL FOODSERVICE WITH EDUCATION AND TRAINING. 2) SETTING STANDARDS THROUGH CERTIFICATION AND CREDENTIALING. 3) GATHERING AND TRANSMITTING REGULATORY, LEGISLATING, INDUSTRY, NUTRITIONAL AND OTHER TYPES OF INFORMATION RELATED TO SCHOOL NUTRITION.

- SCHOOL NUTRITION ASSOCIATION OF SOUTH DAKOTA, INC. WORKS TO ENSURE ALL CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS TO HEALTHFUL SCHOOL MEALS AND NUTRITION EDUCATION BY PROVIDING MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS IN SCHOOL FOOD SERVICE WITH EDUCATION AND TRAINING. THE NUTRITIONAL INTERESTS OF ALL CHILDREN ARE REPRESENTED BY PROMOTING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF NUTRITION POLICY AND LEGISLATION THAT PROVIDES OPTIMAL NUTRITION AND NUTRITION EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN.Expenses $89,201
