Program accomplishments

  • Kansas City Ultimate Summer League - we ran two 11 week summer leagues that provided a recreational yet competitive space for individuals to further learn the sport and compete within the community. There were a total of 20 teams between the two leagues and a total of 327 players that participated. Individuals received a league jersey, disc, tournament lunch, and participated in 11 weeks of ultimate along with multiple post game socials to build community interaction.
    Expenses $18,072
  • USAU Club Sectional Tournament host - we hosted a competitive club level postseason tournament for our section consisting of all men's, women's, and coed teams within Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, and Nebraska as teams competed for a chance to qualify for the regional tournament in Wisconsin. This included 5 teams local to the KC metro, and hosted a total of 19 teams with a player count of roughly 500. Teams played 5-6 games over 2 days and gave a showcase to the area of what competitive ultimate looked like, and allowed local players to play in front of friends and family.
    Expenses $8,254
  • Youth Leagues / Programs - we successfully ran 4 youth leagues that are designed for kids ages 8 to 18 to learn what the sport of ultimate is, develop basic skillset and rule knowledge, and work towards understanding the game and competing at a higher level. League nights consisted of a mix of drill teachings and scrimmage across 3 age groups and hosted around 140 players.
