Mission
Mission Statement: To improve learning opportunities through access to and utilization of information, to provide opportunities for continuing education and training to school librarians, to recognize contributions to the profession, and to the improvement of school library media programs.
Program accomplishments
- Spring Conference - An annual spring conference is held for school librarians with workshops and keynote speakers to educate school librarians about professional development. The Spring Conference for FY26 was held in-person with 561 attendees.
- Reading Incentive Program Designed to award outstanding authors of childrens books and encourage children to read by allowing them to vote on books carried at public or school libraries. 80,544 votes were submitted during the 2025/2026 school year.
