Mission

The Columbus Cannons Youth Hockey Association is organized to foster national and international amateur sports competition and to promote the physical, mental, and moral development of youth through participation in the sport of ice hockey. The organization carries out this purpose by providing structured hockey programs that include on-ice instruction (skating development, skills training, drills, and supervised scrimmages), off-ice physical conditioning and video training, and participation in organized league games and competitive tournaments. The organization also conducts team-building and character development activities designed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and leadership among participating youth.

Program accomplishments

  • The organization was formed in January 2026 and revenues received during the fiscal year were contributions from other local youth hockey organizations to cover initial start-up costs. Our hockey season runs from July through March of each year. As such, the only program services held during this fiscal year were tryouts for the hockey season from July 2026 through March 2027. Full program service revenues and expenses will begin in July 2026.
