TO PROMOTE KING TURKEY DAY COMMUNITY CELEBRATION
Program accomplishments
- THE ANNUAL KING TURKEY DAY PARADE IS THE SHOWCASE EVENT THAT DRAWS CROWDS OF OVER 20,000 PEOPLE TO WATCH THE 2-MILE LONG PROCESSION OF LOCAL PEOPLE, BANDS AND ORGANIZATIONS. THE EVENT IS FREE TO ATTEND AND PROMOTES THE SENSE OF COMMUNITY THAT KING TURKEY DAY IS ALL ABOUT.
- THE KING TURKEY DAY MIXER IS A COMMUNITY EVENT THAT WELCOMES OUR SISTER CITY TO TOWN, RECOGNIZED COMMUNITY MEMBERS DURING A PROGRAM THAT HONORS VOLUNTEERS AND OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY-MINDED PEOPLE AND BUSINESSES, AND ENCOURAGES THE COMMUNITY TO GATHER FOR A FREE MEAL.
- THE PANCAKE BREAKFAST IS A TURKEY DAY TRADITION THAT BRINGS THOUSANDS FROM THE COMMUNITY INTO THE FIREHALL WHERE VOLUNTEERS PREPARE DONATED BREAKFAST FOODS AND SERVE THE COMMUNITY A FREE BREAKFAST.
