Mission

Revitalize Milwaukee transforms communities by providing free, critical home repairs and comprehensive services to low-income, veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities. Over the last 21 years we have grown to be the largest provider of services addressing housing needs for low-income homeowners in SE WI and the only one that does it for free

990 for the year ended December 31, 2024

Program accomplishments

  • Revitalize Milwaukee, Inc. RM preserves affordable housing and transforms neighborhoods in need of critical repairs throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties. Through our Healthy Homes initiative, we address toxins such as lead, reduce asthma triggers and address safety modifications and emergency repairs. In 2024, RM completed 4,439 repairs on 340 homes, benefitting 580 individuals. Of those 4,439 repairs, 1,405 were accessibility modifications, enabling homeowners to remain independent, and 131 were emergency repairs, completed within 48 hours or less. Our work is completed with the help of thousands of volunteer hours. Our homeowners have lived in their homes for an average of 24 years and are at risk of becoming homeless or paying unaffordable costs to live in an assisted living facility. To ensure our homeowners live safely and comfortably in their homes, we partner with over 50 local agencies that provide low-cost services that would otherwise go unattended.
