Program accomplishments
- DURING 2025, THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 624,924 ROOM NIGHTS BOOKED. DDC PROVIDES STRATEGIC RESOURCES AND VALUABLE EXPOSURE TO LOCAL BUSINESSES THAT WANT TO TARGET VISITORS AND THEIR DOLLARS. DDC PROVIDES 700+ INDUSTRY PARTNERS WITH A WIDE VARIETY OF SERVICES AND TOOLS DESIGNATED TO MAXIMIZE EXPOSURE TO A VERY LUCRATIVE LEISURE TRAVEL MARKET.
- THE COMMUNITY INVESTMENT FUND (CIF) WAS ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT INITIATIVES THAT ENHANCE TOURISM INFRASTRUCTURE, CULTURAL PRESERVATION AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR MUNICIPALITIES AND NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. BY ALLOCATING FUNDS TO PROJECTS THAT ALIGN WITH DOOR COUNTY'S UNIQUE CULTURE AND HERITAGE, THE CIF AIMS TO CREATE A WIN-WIN SCENARIO WHERE TOURISM GROWTH NOT ONLY BENEFITS VISITORS BUT ALSO ENRICHES THE LIVES OF LOCAL RESIDENTS". THROUGH CAREFUL PLANNING, TRANSPARENCY AND STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT THESE GRANTS PLAY A PIVOTAL ROLE IN TRANSFORMING DOOR COUNTY INTO A VIBRANT, INCLUSIVE, AND ECONOMICALLY RESILIENT DESTINATION THAT CAN THRIVE IN AN INCREASINGLY COMPETITIVE TOURISM INDUSTRY.
