Mission
Dedicated to creating a kinder world for all living things through social-emotional learning programs. We work to build character and change lives.
Program accomplishments
- Two by Two evidence-based programming was designed to capture a childs imagination by connecting the teaching of core values with the love of animals. Having animals as an integral part of each program sets children up to immediately experience empathy and becomes the direct pathway to a childs heart. Our energetic, hands-on Kindhearted Kids program utilizes the humane care of animals as an avenue for teaching kindness, respect, and empathy. Children become pet parents who care for a stuffed dog or cat and strive to demonstrate through journal writing, reading, and mathematics how they are caring, responsible people and pet parents. Kindhearted Kids Meet the Challenge plunges upper elementary students into several family dilemmas, driving them to make responsible decisions for family members and their family pet. Keys of cooperation are taught throughout this multi-sensory program, as well as the core values of responsibility, empathy, cooperation, perseverance, and citizenship. Character Connections offers lessons providing life skill instruction around fairness, kindness, respect, responsibility, empathy, cooperation, perseverance, and citizenship. Animal mascots help make real life connections, even when situations are difficult in a non-threatening and nurturing way. Each lesson has a social emotional competency learning focus, as well as an academic component.Expenses $572,044 · revenue $79,100
