Mission

The organization's mission is to speed rehabilitation of the nation's disabled and needy veterans by providing financial support to the VFW National Homes program.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • VFW Post #2536 continues to deal with the financial impact of the COVID pandemic. The main resource for contributions made to other charitable organizations is solely dependent on member donations and the revenue from gaming activities. Gaming revenue has been significantly reduced due to the availability of gaming supplies and also the reduction in member attendance at our facility.

What it must file and when

IRS records say it files Form 990 or 990-EZ. Based on its last return; a smaller organization may file the 990-N. Its accounting year ends in December, so each return is due on the 15th day of the 5th month after that.
