Program accomplishments

  • Lexington Soccer Association offers opportunities for Lexington students to participate in soccer league play for fall and spring seasons. Each season consists of 8-10 games followed by tournament play. Students pay a registration fee for these programs that include a team jersey. Activities are also funded by charitable contributions. Lex Littles is a program for preschool students to learn the game of soccer and includes teams made up of Lexington School District students that will play each other during the season. In 2025, 120 students participated in this program. Lexington School District students through junior high are included in a program that has two seasons playing teams in and around the Lexington area as part of the Appleseed Youth Soccer Association. In 2025, 450 students participated in this program. LSA also offers a summer camp for youth that is taught by high school soccer team members. In 2025, 180 students participated in this program. Each year, LSA offers college scholarships to 4 graduating students. The scholarships are awarded by a committee based on the student's overall life experiences to date including high school and community activities and letters of recommendation. The first place boy and girl each receive $1,000 scholarships and the second place boy and girl each receive $500. The scholarships are open to Lexington High School students graduating in the current year attending an accredited college or technical school who have played for a team associated with LSA for at least 2 years.
