Mission
CAMDEN POLO CLUB SHALL BE A NONPROFIT PUBLIC BENEFIT ORGANIZATION OPERATED FOR THE PURPOSE OF: (1) CREATING MULTIPLE INITIATIVES AIMED AT GROWING THE SPORT OF POLO, INCLUDING PLAYER GROWTH DEVELOPMENT AND CLUB DEVELOPMENT; (2) CONDUCTING INTERCOLLEGIATE/INTERSCHOLASTIC PROGRAMS TO PROMOTE AND GROW THE SPORT OF POLO B PROVIDING MAXIMUM EXPOSURE TO THE SPORT AND PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE TO COMETE IN THE SPORT; (3) PROVIDING FOR ORGANIZED COMPETITION, INCLUDING SPONSORING AND ADMINISTERING TOURNAMENTS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SPORTSMANSHIP, FAIRNESS AND SAFETY; (4) PRESERVATION OF A HISTORIC VENUE FOR COMPETING AND MAINTAINING THE SPORT OF POLO; (5) EXPANDING EQUINE ACTIVITIES AND EQUINE WELFARE IN THE COMMUNITY; AND (6) COLLABORATING WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING COMPLIMENTARY SERVICES, BY ACCEPTING DONATIONS AND DONATING TO OTHER 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS TO FUTHER THE GOALS OF THE CORPORATION AND PROMOTE ITS PUBLIC AND CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES.
Program accomplishments
- OUR GOAL IS TO SECURE A PLACE TO HAVE A PRACTICE FACILITY, AS THE HISTORIC FIELD MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE A LARGE PLAYING ARENA AND OUR FAN BASE. WE NEED TO RELY ON THE COMMUNITY TO HELP US 1) SECURE A LOCATION AND 2) FUND THE NECESSARY IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED FOR PRACTICE AND PLAY (ARENA, SHEDROWS, BARN, ETC.). THIS INITIAL EFFORT WITH BE COMPLETELY VOLUNTEER DRIVEN, AS TIME MOVES FORWARD IN THE NEXT 2-3 YEARS, WE WILL NEED STAFFING FOR HORSE CARE, INSTRUCTION, MANAGEMENT, AND MAINTENANCE. WE ESTIMATE HAVING 2-5 INDIVIDUALS ON STAFF THIS TIME AND IN THE FUTURE, WHICH ADDS TO THE COSTS OF OUR COMMUNITY CENTER, RELYING ON THE SUPPORT OF OUR 501C3.Expenses $56,182
