Mission

To promote the social welfare of the public by preserving hunting and fishing opportunities, supporting sustainable wildlife management, and ensuring the long-term viability of the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation in Washington State

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Educated the public about sportsmen's opportunities and wildlife management practices in Washington State, including issues before the Wildlife Commission and the legislature, and provided opportunities for public engagement. Advocated for science-based wildlife management, including continuation of fall, bear, and cougar hunts in collaboration with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and the WDFW Commission. Engaged with the legislature on wildlife, firearm, and WDFW governance bills to support sound management of fish and wildlife and maintain sportsmen recreation opportunities and firearm rights. Promoted transparency and accountability in policymaking by monitoring Wildlife Commission actions and informing the public. Participated in an amicus brief to the Washington Supreme Court in a public records case in collaboration with another sportsmen advocacy group, and supported these efforts through a fundraising campaign, including the sale of T-shirts (legal expenses for this work were paid in 2026). These activities benefited the general public, hundreds of thousands of hunters, anglers, and other outdoor enthusiasts throughout Washington State.
