Program accomplishments

  • Community Learning Center and Optimized Aeronautical Smart Hub (CLCOASH). For the CLCOASH we were able to develop the centers requirements, write the Community Project Plan, write the site selection plan, identify and evaluate potential site 1 and potential site 2 and identify and determine the cost of capital equipment. The objectives of the center was to establish a cashless operation in the community, emulate aircraft systems on the ground and establish an environment where community members could learn to create businesses. Our customers client decided not to go forward with the project. 80 persons were served by this activity.
    Expenses $50,925 · grants $120,000
  • Lost wax method casting material development. The Pan African Technical Association, our supporters and our partners raised funds to continue our casting material development. Our supplier was able to use the lost wax method to cast the sculpture. The next step in the process is to work with our community supporters and community partners to raise money required to machine the plaque and install it on a granite base. This opportunity has given community members a chance to become knowledgeable about the lost wax technology method. 400 to 500 persons have benefited.
    Expenses $7,832 · grants $8,000
  • Saturday Science and Technology Academy (SSATA). We delivered our 8th yearly version of the SSATA. We presented our lessons at Peary Middle School in Gardena California. The students learned how STEM is applied through fun and educational hands-on activities and class discussions. Students also benefited from a broadening of awareness in career opportunities in the STEM fields. Two examples of the lessons we presented were Introduction to Structural Engineering and Space Exploration. We served 90 persons.
