The misson of Open Eye Pictures is to produce and distribute educational media about under-served or unspotlighted issues to inspire empathy and action towards positive social change
Program accomplishments
- In 2024 Open Eye Pictures completed the feature documentary DOG WARRIORSand premiered it at Raindance Film Festival in June 2024 in London, where it received the Spirit of Raindance award. At the end of the year, the company also completedthe feature documentary COMPLICATED (which premiered at Slamdance Film festivalin early 2025).The company contiunued to distribute AMERICAN JUSTICE ON TRIAL through educaitonaland digital markets, and prepped the film for an early 2025 national; broadcast via PBSPlus. The company also continued its distribution and community engagement activities for its films UNDER OUR SKIN and EMERGENCE, as well as for all previous films indistribution
