Mission
THE NATIONAL FIREPROOFING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE APPLICATION OF STRUCTURAL BUILDING ELEMENT FIREPROOFING PRODUCTS THROUGH EDUCATION, COMPANY ACCREDITATION PROGRAMS, AND INSPECTOR EDUCATION. THE ASSOCIATION WORKS TO PROVIDE BETTER FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY IN BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES THROUGH EFFECTIVE STRUCTURAL FIREPROOFING.
Program accomplishments
- NATIONAL FIREPROOFING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION (NFCA) HOLDS MULTIPLE EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE(S), PUBLISHES EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL, AND ADMINISTERS AN ACCREDITATION PROGRAM FOR SERVICE REVENUE. NFCA COMMITTEES MEET TO COLLABORATE ON SOLUTIONS TO INDUSTRY ISSUES, BUILDING NEW PROGRAMS, AND IMPRVOING EXISTING PROGRAMS. NFCA'S EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES PROVIDE CONTENT ON INDUSTRY TOPICS AND ISSUES SPECIFIC TO THE FIRE-RESISTANCE INDUSTRY FOR MEMBERS, BUILDING CODE OFFICIALS, SPECIFIERS, AND FIRE MARSHALS. NFCA ALSO CONDUCTS EDUCATION FOR AN INDUSTRY EXAM FOR CONTRACTOR AND INSPECTION PERSONNEL TO SHOW COMPETENCE IN FIREPROOFING. NFCA ALSO PROVIDES A WEBSITE AS A RESOURCE TO THE INDUSTRY. NFCA MANAGES ITS CONTRACTOR ACCREDITATION PROGRAM WITH ANNUAL RENEWALS. NFCA EDUCATIONAL WEBINARS AND WEBSITE ARE OFFERED AS A SERVICE TO MEMBERS, THE INDUSTRY, AND ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
