Mission

Educating the public about sculpture and promoting sculpture

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • The 2025 5 into 1: 25th Anniversary Exhibition was a milestone event that was on display from June 14 - August 29, 2025. Returning to Moore College of Art and Design, our generous hosts for many years, we collaborated with them to recognize the special occasion of the 25th year of our long-running exhibition program for graduating sculpture students from Moore, PAFA, Tyler, UArts and UPenn. We identified artists who had participated in the 5 into 1 exhibitions over the past 25 years and invited a number of them back to exhibit current work alongside works selected from current graduating students. While UArts sadly no longer exists, we were able to include students who transferred to other colleges, but who would have been UArts graduates. Paul Hubbard, one of the founders of the program, was honored at the reception. Our curatorial team of Patrick Cabry, Mandi Hall, Jacintha Kruc, Gage Ramos and Jaymi Vilardo worked with Gabrielle Lavin Suzensky, VP of Creative Strategy & Rochelle F. Levy/Chief Curator at Moore, to plan and implement all aspects of the exhibition.
    Expenses $1,850
  • On June 1, 2025, we began a new program just for PS members. With the generous support of John Wind, we collaborated with the Dina Wind Art Foundation for the inaugural event of PAST/PRESENT/FUTURE. About 40 PS members got together for an afternoon of art, conversation and community in the Foundation's art-filled venue in South Philadelphia. PS members shared their works in a "pecha kucha" (short slide presentations), and mingled with other PS members, creating new friendships and connections.
  • Our outdoor sculpture exhibition, TIMELINE, took place on the grounds of East Fairmount Park's Laurel Hill Mansion from July 18 October 17, 2025. A collaboration with the Women for Greater Philadelphia, the exhibition addressed themes related to the broader history and location of the Mansion. Twelve artists created works that presented their interpretations of issues that resonate today, including: roles of women and women's rights, slavery, the Abolitionist movement, labor and farming, trade and commerce, and the changing environment. The exhibition was juried by Nancy Agati and Rachel Zimmerman.
    Expenses $2,951
