THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR COMPARATIVE ECONOMIC STUDIES IS TO PROVIDE SCHOLARLY EXCHANGE AMONG PERSONS INTERESTED IN COMPARATIVE STUDIES OF ECONOMIC SYSTEMS, INSTITUTIONS, AND ECONOMIC PERFORMANCE AND DEVELOPMENT AND TO FURTHER THE GROWTH OF RESEARCH AND INSTRUCTION ON THESE TOPICS.
