Mission
The purpose of VHCHE, Corp. is to provide a better physical and emotional health and education to children in underserved communities around the world.
Program accomplishments
- It is the mission, duty, and purpose of Viridiane's Hope to forge sustainable partnerships for the benefit of children, enabling and empowering them to confront and address the multifaceted challenges present within their communities. Viridiane's Hope is steadfast in its commitment to advancing the rights of children and correcting systemic inequalities in underserved regions through the coordination and facilitation of outreach and educational initiatives. At the heart of our efforts lies a central commitment: to provide meaningful aid and relief, eradicate illiteracy, and promote healthy behaviors among children at local, national, and international levels. Founded in Springfield, Virginia, our organization's initial project-constructing a school in Cameroon-serves as a model for subsequent endeavors both within the United States and abroad. This foundation, built in memory of Viridiane, continues to guide our vision and expand our reach. Accomplishments in 2025 In 2025, Viridiane's Hope realized significant progress in alignment with our mission, thanks to the generous support of our donors and partners. We are honored to present the following highlights: * Completed the drilling of three solar-powered drinking water wells, offering clean water to over 6,000 villagers. * Converted an existing well from electric to solar power, ensuring a continuous supply of drinking water to 3,000 villagers and yielding substantial energy savings. * Installed solar-powered lighting in a presbytery, church, and school, enhancing visibility and security for community members. * Donated hundreds of church vestments and sacred vessels, supporting the propagation of faith and spiritual enrichment. * Contributed several thousand pounds of school supplies and medical equipment to bolster health and educational services for children. * Constructed an outdoor cafeteria, providing nutritious meals daily to more than 1,300 primary school students and combating childhood hunger in rural areas. * Launched the initial phase of Viridiane's Hope's five-year strategic plan for sustainable community development. * Completed two mission trips to Cameroon and supported an additional mission trip to Vietnam, facilitating cross-cultural collaboration and outreach. * Donated hundreds of basketball jerseys and shorts to schools across several regions and organized basketball competitions, promoting athletic participation and school spirit. * Sponsored the third annual art and culture competition, fostering creativity and excellence among children in rural schools. * Facilitated a letter exchange program between students in the United States and Cameroon, promoting global citizenship and cross-cultural understanding. * Promoted dental hygiene in rural communities by distributing hundreds of toothpastes, toothbrushes, and dental floss to children and families. * Expanded partnerships with existing collaborators and established new alliances, culminating in the launch of a joint mission trip to Cameroon for 2026. * Hosted a successful Fourth Annual Swim A Thon Fundraiser at Orange Hunt Swim and Tennis Club. * Remodeled a chapel to provide a safe and dignified place of worship for local communities. Looking Ahead: Strategic Priorities for 2026 As we turn our gaze to the year ahead, Viridiane's Hope remains acutely aware of the persistent challenges faced by vulnerable communities. Our immediate objectives for 2026 include the construction of six toilets at a primary school in a remote village-an essential measure for safeguarding dignity and reducing the risk of sexual assault among young girls. We also endeavor to drill several additional drinking water wells, and to reinforce ongoing initiatives by providing food, medical supplies, school materials, and essential health and dental screenings. We hope to break the ground for the construction of Viridiane's Hope English-only K-6 curriculum in Cameroon to support education of children displaced by unrests in the English-speaking provinces of Cameroon. We're excited for the two mission trips slated for 2026 to serve the poor.Expenses $4,843
