Mission
THE NORTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC.'S GOAL IS TO WORK WITH BROADCASTERS AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON POLITICAL ISSUES AND POLITICAL CANDIDATE POSITIONS BY PROVIDING NONPARTISAN FORUMS FOR AND FACILITATING THE BROADCAST OF POLITICAL CANDIDATE DEBATES.
Program accomplishments
- THE NORTH CAROLINA ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC.'S GOAL IS TO WORK WITH BROADCASTERS AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC TO EDUCATE THE GENERAL PUBLIC ON POLITICAL ISSUES AND POLITICAL CANDIDATE POSITIONS BY PROVIDING NONPARTISAN FORUMS FOR AND FACILITATING THE BROADCAST OF POLITICAL CANDIDATE DEBATES. NCABEF HOSTED A NC GUBERNATORIAL DEBATE WITH THE CANDIDATES FOR GOVERNOR IN OCTOBER 2020 WHICH WAS BROADCAST ON TV AND RADIO STATIONS ACROSS THE STATE. HOWEVER, NO DEBATES/FORUMS WERE HOSTED IN 2024.
