Mission
Holy Rosary Land Holdings Inc ("Holy Rosary") leases and maintains property and improvements for the education in religious and secular knowledge for people of color. This property has been maintained for such purposes since 1913.
Program accomplishments
- Holy Rosary property is to be used to educate and support people of color, which includes leases of property. Some of the leases are to tax exempt organizations that do not discriminate on the basis of race, class, color, creed, religion or gender. These tax exempt organizations are working within the Layfayette community and also operate educational programs. Additional leases are with other organizations that are serving and supporting the Layfayette economic community. Supporters of Holy Rosary are wanting to preserve the culture and history of the location and buildings located on the property. Support of the Sisters of the Holy Family ("SSF") reflects within the mission of educating and helping people and organizations without discrimination on the basis of race, class, color, creed, religion or gender.
