Program accomplishments

  • 2025 was a transformative period for San Jose Parks Foundation. Our nonprofit board has successfully revitalized its Board of Trustees governance structure, recruiting diverse leaders with expertise in finance and strategy. By streamlining programs and operations we have significantly shored up our financial health, moving toward a place of more organizational stability. Finally, we supported three local organizations in their transition from SJPF's fiscal sponsorship program to independent nonprofit status. 2025 also marked ten years of SJPF fiscal sponsorship of the City of San Jose's Viva Calle event, which opens miles of San Jose streets to walking, biking, and skating three times per year. The Board of Trustees continued to implement the strategic plan, focusing on fundraising and external communications as we prepare to recruit for the organization's next Executive Director in 2026.
