  • LIVING ROOM MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL OPERATES IN KENYA, PROVIDING HEALTHCARE SERVICES TO PEOPLE AFFECTED BY LIFE-THREATENING ILLNESSES AT KIMBILIO HOSPICE IN KIPKAREN RIVER AND LIVING ROOM INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL IN ELDORET.KIMBILIO HOSPICE, A 24-BED INPATIENT HOSPICE, WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 2011 AND PROVIDES HOLISTIC CARE FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OPERATES OUTPATIENT SERVICES TO CLIENTS IN THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. ITS SERVICES INCLUDE THE MANAGEMENT OF PAIN AND OTHER SYMPTOMS, PROVISION OF PSYCHOSOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT, AND PHYSICAL THERAPY. ADMISSION TO KIMBILIO HOSPICE AND LENGTH OF STAY ARE NOT BASED ON RACE,TRIBE, RELIGION, EDUCATIONAL LEVEL, OR THE ABILITY TO PAY. THE MAIN GOAL IS TO ACHIEVE THE BEST QUALITY OF LIFE FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES FACING ADVANCED ILLNESS.IN 2012, IN A CONTINUING EFFORT TO SERVE FAMILIES AFFECTED BY DEATH, THE ORGANIZATION CONSTRUCTED A MORTUARY AND FUNERAL HOME IN KIPKAREN RIVER, ON THE SAME CAMPUS AS KIMBILIO HOSPICE.IN 2019, LIVING ROOM INTERNATIONAL HOSPITAL - ELDORET, A 49-BED, LEVEL 4 HOSPITAL WAS OFFICIALLY OPENED. IN 2022, LIVING ROOM EXPANDED ITS BED CAPACTIY TO 144 BEDS AND ITS SERVICES TO INCLUDE MATERNITY, SURGICAL, ICU, AND GUESTHOUSE/ACCOMMODATION FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES WHO HAVE TRAVELED FAR DISTANCES TO RECEIVE THEIR ONCOLOGY TREATMENT AT A NEARBY GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL. IN 2025, THE ORGANIZATION HAS 240 KENYAN STAFF MEMBERS AND SERVED OVER 120,000 PEOPLE BETWEEN ITS TWO CAMPUSES. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, LIVING ROOM MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL HAS IMPACTED OVER 1 MILLION KENYANS, OFFERING HOLISTIC HEALTHCARE SERVICES AND EDUCATION, FULFILLING ITS VISION OF BEING A COMMUNITY OF COMPASSION THAT HONORS LIFE AND OFFERS HOPE.
