Mission

KNOM Radio Mission, Inc. exists to engage with listeners in Western Alaska to embrace the regions culture, empower spiritual growth, and expand opportunity for encountering Christ.

990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • KNOMs mission is to engage listeners, empower spiritual growth, and expand opportunity for encountering Christ. The work is steeped in mission values: to be a friend and companion who provides respectful service based on Catholic ideals. KNOMs 20,000 listeners live across 100,000 square miles of remote Alaska. Most live in villages from the Bering Sea Coast and eastward toward the Alaskan interior. Radio is a source of faith, news and information. AM/FM Radios analog signal, remains integral to the regions communications, as digital (i.e. web-based) means are often less reliable, especially during an emergency. KNOMs website: www.knom.org hosts many programs, productions, news, and features. This site is free from advertising thanks to the generosity of many private benefactors.
