THE BIRMINGHAM EDUCATION FOUNDATION (ED) IS DEDICATED TO INCREASING THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS IN THE BIRMINGHAM CITY SCHOOLS THAT ARE ON THE PATH TO COLLEGE, CAREER, AND LIFE READINESS.
Program accomplishments
- THE BIRMINGHAM EDUCATION FOUNDATION'S PROGRAMS ARE CENTERED AROUND THE FOLLOWING:1.TO BUILD A NETWORK OF MEMBERS OF THE BIRMINGHAM COMMUNITY AND THE BIRMINGHAM CITY SCHOOLS WHO BELIEVE IN BIRMINGHAM'S CHILDREN AND THEIR LIMITLESS POTENTIAL FOR SUCCESS AND WILL FOCUS ON THE FOLLOWING AREAS: A.COLLEGE, CAREER AND LIFE READINESS B.COLLEGE & CAREER ACCESS AND PREPAREDNESS C.ESSENTIAL SKILL BUILDING2.TO DEVELOP THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE TO CARRY OUT THE MISSION AND GOALS.3.TO RAISE THE FUNDS NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE MISSION AND GOALS.4.TO RESPOND QUICKLY TO NEWLY IDENTIFIED NEEDS WITHIN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM WITH RESEARCH-BASED SOLUTIONS.5.ADVOCATE FOR THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES OF BIRMINGHAM TO HAVE HIGH-QUALITY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.Expenses $226,148
