Program accomplishments

  • In 2025 we provided "seed investment support' for key network leaders in India (West Bengal, Jharkhand, Punjab, and Tamil Nadu. Before receiving any funds from us, these leaders had to identify their project related to L.I.O.N. purposes, the strategic plan for accomplishing it, and the amount of local support they could raise for their projected budget. This effort also helped these leaders begin to identify teams as well and plan and organize events and projects on behalf of the communities which they are serving. Due to the increased local persecution of those receiving "outside" funds from America, at their request, we greatly reduced again our support to our key leaders in Tamil Nadu. Program expenses went to skills training for youth, and emergency transportation for medical care of elderly slum dwellers. In Jharkand, program expenses went to the continued operation of a village computer training center and student housing at Access academy. In West Bengal, LION leaders provided one medical camp for rural villages near Berhampur and additional support for 20 dairy cows with our "Cows for Leaders" project. In Punjab, L.I.O.N. supported an effort by our key leaders in Chandigarh with 5 additional bicycles for the teams to reach remote villages with teaching and support
    Expenses $39,714 · grants $15,898
  • In 2025 through our key leaders in Africa, our Africa Project Against Suicide(APAS) network had teams in 22 countries, according to our international APAS team. We held the second annual Education Summit in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe with 467 registrants. Our project funding went primarily to the live training events which were also streamed online. We also supported the office in the U.K. where our key coordinator for Africa is living temporarily with his family. These efforts resulted in Africa continuing as our most extensive project effort. Project expenses included travel for trainers
    Expenses $29,700 · grants $900
  • In 2025 L.I.O.N. Outreach International, Inc. continued providing some small emergency support to a few of our U.S. based leaders in obscurity. In all cases, the grants went to families and key team leaders struggling with emergency food, medical, and transportation. We continued our online teaching and training, accessible by all of the U.S. leaders. Our LION - UK office provided coordination for all of the Africa network, including some honoriums and travel expense reimbursement for event volunteer teams and part time coordinators in Kettering, and Hull, UK
    Expenses $70,095 · grants $407
  • Program Expenses include database software, internet services, computer and digital storage equipment, phone services, some staff travel, and miscellaneous expenses for leader offices...
