THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE FOUNDATION, INC. (THE "FOUNDATION") CONDUCTS ACTIVITIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROMOTING THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE IN ALL AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOLS. THE FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO REINSTATING THE COLLEGE BOARD'S ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSE AND EXAMINATION IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE AVAILABLE IN THE UNITED STATES AND INTERNATIONALLY.
Program accomplishments
- THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE FOUNDATION, INC. (THE "FOUNDATION") CONDUCTS ACTIVITIES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROMOTING THE ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE IN ALL AMERICAN HIGH SCHOOLS. THE FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO REINSTATING THE COLLEGE BOARD'S ADVANCED PLACEMENT COURSE AND EXAMINATION IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE AVAILABLE IN THE UNITED STATES AND INTERNATIONALLY. THE FOUNDATION OFFERS FREE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR TEACHERS OF ITALIAN IN THE FORM OF FREE WEBINARS AND WORKSHOPS; ISSUES AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE WHICH MOTIVATE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO TAKE THE AP ITALIAN EXAM; PROVIDES FREE MENTORSHIP, LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS, AND INTERNSHIPS FOR STUDENTS OF ITALIAN; AND OFFERS FELLOWSHIPS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS IN THE USA WHO ENROLL IN ITALIAN LANGUAGE CLASSES AND WHO MEET THE ILF ELIGIBILITY CRITERIAExpenses $16,007
