Mission

We provide services to enhance the availability of the arts. Some events are free, especially during our week when celebrate ArtBlast. Other events we charge to attend. We offer concerts, plays and other events especially at Christmas time.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • We provide various concerts throughout the year. Some concerts during ArtBlast are free but some we charge admission for. We do offer a few free tickets through a system with the Library. Our concerts include Bluegrass bands, Jazz bands, Tribute bands and some are ethnical base or more for families with children to enjoy. Approximately 1333 people attended our concerts that required tickets this past year. The free concerts during ArtBlast are harder to track the number of people who attended and sometimes the concerts are cancelled due to the weather. We were able to reschedule most of the concerts cancelled but not always due to the bands having full schedules.
    Expenses $26,000
  • We also offer plays which we usually charge for. ArtBlast does offer a class for children to be in a play and they put this play on for their parents and anyone who wants to attend. Our regular plays include 3 to 4 plays a year. Attendance was about 1648 in 2025 for these plays. Some of these plays are SAP plays and some are FPP. We are excited as we hope to do Our Town in 2026 and this would be a FPP. We pay for the directors, audio and light technician but the actual actors and actresses volunteer their time. Our Town might be a little different and we might need to pay the lead players in this play. Our purpose is to encourage people to learn about plays, enjoy watching them, and possibly volunteering to be in them. The summer play is usually the only one that includes children as practice for plays is usually in the evening and this might interfere with school or bedtime.
    Expenses $15,000
  • We offer many other activities such as the ArtBlast that was mentioned earlier. This includes a time for children to participate in a play and then perform it. Also concerts, ethnic dancers are present at ArtBlast. Writer's Fest, Meet the Author, ComedySportz, Veteran's Day Celebration, Christmas activities, Artist's Reception and other one time events
    Expenses $20,032
