Program accomplishments

  • The Greater New Orleans Collaborative of Charter Schools (GNOCCS) organizes the annual Charter School Teacher Fair as a strategic initiative to strengthen the educator workforce across the region. This event serves as a centralized recruitment platform, enabling prospective teachers to engage directly with representatives from multiple charter schools in one setting. By consolidating recruitment efforts, the Teacher Fair creates efficiencies for both schools and candidates, ensuring that qualified educators are effectively matched with available teaching positions. In 2025, the Teacher Fair registered over 400 prospective educators, with more than 300 attending in person. The event directly facilitated 30 teacher hires, while outreach efforts extended to more than 10,000 educators along the Gulf Coast. Beyond immediate placements, the fair reduced recruitment costs for participating schools, strengthened the hiring pipeline, and advanced the collective mission of improving instructional quality, enhancing workforce stability, and positively influencing student outcomes across Greater New Orleans charter schools.
