Mission

TO BE A PROPHETIC VOICE AND TEACHING MINISTRY TO ENCOURAGE CHURCHES THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TO THE GLORY OF GOD.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Heartcry for Change is a 501 (c) 3 Organization which seeks to facilitate people through teaching, training and resources to connect with their communities to bring transformation. We seek to equip the Church to bring positive and practical change in their communities and nations. Heartcry for Change seeks to carry a hope filled Christian message alongside practical generous demonstrations of kindness towards the poor and broken in all communities. To this end, the Organization has continued with many speaking and training opportunities both in the USA and other nations throughout 2025. Achievements This year there was a full schedule of travel, speaking and resourcing of conferences, training events, leadership mentoring and social outreach programs. Rachel Hickson, Gordon Hickson and Helen Azer have travelled extensively on behalf of the Organization delivering training and engaging supporters with updates on the Organizations programs including the poverty relief work in Moldova. In-person visits and online mentoring have taken place across the United States. The ministry also served other nations around the world including Canada, Norway, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Republic of Ireland, Slovenia, and Croatia. Heartcry for Change has also continued to offer online teaching and training material for use through the Organizations social media platforms, notably Facebook and YouTube. These resources have been provided free of charge in line with Heartcrys charitable purposes and have attracted donations into the Organization from those who desire to partner with the Organization to further its public benefit at this time. Rachel Hickson and Helen Azer have also continued to offer leadership mentoring, training and seminars via zoom at the request of churches and other organizations. We have also developed new resources this year. Two new books have been published through Amazon including Hungry For More: Discovering the Holy Spirit, a resource with practical activations for use in Bible studies and home groups, and Run Your Race Devotional audiobook. The themes of hope and freedom have been chosen especially to encourage emotional and spiritual wellbeing and train women and men in biblical value systems which encourage wholeness and an attitude of generosity and public service in these challenging times. We have also published, Surprised By God at Cambridge, which is an account of the inspirational stories of 70 elite students and their heart to influence society through philanthropy and bring transformation to their communities.Heartcry for Change also continues to support social action programs in the nations. These programs are structured initiatives designed to connect with communities to provide support, education, and resources, targeting disadvantaged groups to improve social mobility, health, or education. The programs range from school mentoring and career coaching to community health support and poverty relief efforts. Our main area of social action investment has been through a continuation of the work into some of the poorest communities in Eastern Europe, notably our partnerships in Moldova, where we were able to provide practical resources as well as leadership training and mentoring support to workers on the ground there. Over the winter months of 2025, the Organization was able to contribute to the support of around 500 families through the provision of coal and food parcels. The summer childrens camps were also very well attended and resulted in practical support and mentoring of vulnerable families through the local partner churches and organizations. Voluntary financial contributions from the Organization's network of supporters towards this work were allocated to programs including the support of the Girls' Academy for at risk young women. Rachel Hickson was able to personally review each of the social and humanitarian projects and assess the needs on the ground in April 2025. The programs are proving very sustainable and a healthy means of supporting the work practically. It has been so encouraging to hear the testimonies of the women graduating from the Girls Academy and finding a career using skills learned in the Academy such as catering, sewing and setting up small cafes. Rachel Hickson was able to invest in mentoring the leaders of these programs and spend time helping with strategic development. We continue to develop our website and promotional information to enable people to connect with us. Our social media platforms (Facebook, YouTube & Instagram) have sustained interest and engagement and provided regular updates on our programs. This has given donors a greater sense of partnership. Prayer information and ministry reports were supplied regularly throughout the year by email newsletter and online via the ministrys website and there has also been a dedicated programs page with updates on the social projects such as the work in Moldova and the London Prayer project. The Board of Directors of Heartcry for Change serve faithfully and are diligent to assist in advising forward planning and strategy. They have met two times formally this year but individual members of the Board have also visisted some of the Organization's programs in other nations and keep in regular informal communication with the team frequently during the year through zoom calls.Looking ahead to 2026, Heartcry for Change is excited by the opportunities to serve many churches and ministries with training and strategic leadership development as well as guidance with prophetic and prayer strategies accross several states on the west and east coasts of the USA. We continue to champion the local church to be a prophetic voice of hope with a generous heart and demonstration of compassionate outreach.
