Mission
The Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nursing (ISAPN) is a professional association for registered nurses in Illinois that focuses on statewide policies and nursing regulation to promote advanced practice nursing.
Program accomplishments
- Increase public awareness of Advanced Practice Nursing profession and utilization of Advanced Practice Nurses.
- Develop, participate in and sponsor continuing education for Advanced Practice Nurses. ISAPN holds an annual conference and various educational programs to provide education and training.
- Initiate, facilitate, support, and protect the role of the advanced practice nurse through legislation and regulation.
- ISAPN provides information to members to enable them to improve access and quality of care to patients. Methods used to provide information include periodic electronic newsletters, printed newsletters, and email. ISAPN also provides resources and maintains a website that contains relevant information.
