Mission
THE MISSION OF COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF PUYALLUP (CISP) IS TO SURROUND STUDENTS WITH A COMMUNITY OF SUPPORT, EMPOWERING THEM TO STAY IN SCHOOL AND ACHIEVE IN LIFE.
Program accomplishments
- THROUGH SITE COORDINATION, TRAINED SITE COORDINATORS SERVE AS A CONSISTENT, ON-SITE POINT OF CONTACT WITHIN SCHOOLS, WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH STUDENTS, FAMILIES, SCHOOL STAFF, AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS TO ADDRESS BARRIERS TO STUDENT SUCCESS. SITE COORDINATORS ASSESS SCHOOLWIDE AND INDIVIDUAL STUDENT NEEDS AND COORDINATE INTEGRATED SUPPORTS THAT MAY INCLUDE ACADEMIC, ATTENDANCE, BEHAVIORAL, SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL, AND BASIC NEEDS ASSISTANCE.SUPPORTS ARE DELIVERED THROUGH A TIERED FRAMEWORK THAT INCLUDES SCHOOLWIDE PREVENTION EFFORTS, TARGETED INTERVENTIONS, AND INDIVIDUALIZED CASE MANAGEMENT. SITE COORDINATORS ALIGN SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES TO MEET IDENTIFIED NEEDS, COORDINATE SERVICES, AND MONITOR STUDENT PROGRESS TOWARD ESTABLISHED GOALS.THIS INTEGRATED APPROACH HAS DEMONSTRATED STRONG OUTCOMES, WITH MORE THAN 80 PERCENT OF STUDENTS RECEIVING ONGOING SERVICES MEETING AT LEAST ONE OF THEIR IDENTIFIED GOALS.Expenses $454,389
