Mission

Parkinson Partners of Northwestern PA is a nonprofit charity dedicated to helping those with Parkinson's disease and their families in the NW Pennsylvania region by providing education, support, programs and services. Parkinson Partners is the only nonprofit in the region solely dedicated to those with Parkinson's disease.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Parkinson Partners provides outreach services to those with Parkinson's disease through a fully staffed information and referral line, website, educational programming, newsletter, social media page, support groups, 2 in person and 3 via Zoom (monthly), and other social gatherings so those with PD can be educated about their condition and have support when they need it. We are the only nonprofit dedicated to this population in the tri-state area and we reach over 13,000 people annually through our outreach efforts.
    Expenses $1,286
  • Parkinson Partners teams up with Gannon University and the Salvation Army to provide a Parkinson's specific wellness program for those with PD. Participants are teamed up with students from the physical and occupational therapy programs. 1.5 hour classes are taught by current and retired Gannon OT and PT professors for 8 week sessions in the spring, summer and fall. Because many in our community do not have access to online formats, we also offer recorded exercise videos created by our wellness team. We send pedometers, exercise booklets and Parkinson's exercise class links to the community, encouraging them to stay moving. We have provided education about how individuals can start a walking program. We also worked with local neurology offices to provde these services to more PD patients in need. Over 750 people were reached.
    Expenses $5,821
