Program accomplishments
- PORTERSVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL HAS BEEN PROVIDING CHRISTIAN EDUCATION SINCE 1963. WE ARE LOCATED IN BUTLER COUNTY ON 40 ACRES OVERLOOKING LAKE ARTHUR. THE VISION OF PORTERSVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL IS TO GRADUATE STUDENTS WITH A HEART FOR GOD WHO ARE PREPARED TO SERVE HIM IN EVERY AREA OF LIFE. OUR K-12 PROGRAM INCLUDES RIGOROUS ACADEMICS, ATHLETICS, FINE ARTS, AND DUAL CREDIT COURSES, ALL FROM A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW. THE MISSION OF PORTERSVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL IS TO GLORIFY GOD BY PREPARING STUDENTS TO SERVE JESUS CHRIST AS LORD, PARTNERING WITH FAMILY AND CHURCH, AND INSTILLING HIGH SPIRITUAL, ACADEMIC, SOCIAL, AND PHYSICAL STANDARDS.OUR CORE VALUES DRIVE EVERY DECISION WE MAKE AND EVERY PROGRAM WE OFFER. THESE VALUES ARE CHRISTIAN CHARACTER, PASSION FOR GOD, ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE, SERVICE, AND PARTNERSHIP. CHRISTIANITY IS NOT RULES, BUT RELATIONSHIP. WE ARE TO LIVE IN CHRIST, ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN HIM THROUGH PRAYER AND THE WORD. (GALATIANS 5:22-26; JAMES 1:22-25) SPIRITUAL MATURITY INVOLVES THE UNDERSTANDING AND PRACTICE OF TRADITIONAL CHRISTIAN SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES, INCLUDING PRAYER, BIBLE STUDY, WORSHIP, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND WITNESS. (MATTHEW 28:20; MARK 12:30; COLOSSIANS 3:2) PORTERSVILLE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL APPROACHES ACADEMICS THROUGH A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW. (COLOSSIANS 3:23; PROVERBS 4:7-8) WE STRIVE TO HELP OUR STUDENTS VIEW THE WORLD THROUGH THE LENS OF SCRIPTURE, AND WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER DUAL CREDIT COURSES WITH CHRISTIAN COLLEGES. GOD CALLS US TO SERVANT LEADERSHIP CHARACTERIZED BY TRANSPARENCY. THE STUDENTS OF PCS SERVE ONE ANOTHER AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY AND DEVELOP AN OUTWARD FOCUS OF SERVICE. (PHILIPPIANS 2:3-4; GALATIANS 6:2) THE SCHOOL IS A PARTNER WITH THE CHURCH AND CHRISTIAN HOME IN DEVELOPING THE LIVES OF STUDENTS. FACULTY AND STAFF SUPPORT PARENTS IN THE TRAINING AND INSTRUCTION OF THEIR CHILDREN. (GALATIANS 6:1, PHILIPPIANS 1:3-6; MATTHEW 7:1-5) THE NEED FOR CHRISTIAN EDUCATION IS MORE CRUCIAL THAN EVER. TODAY, RATHER THAN BEING ACCEPTING OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH, OUR CULTURE IS RESISTANT TO THE TEACHINGS OF SCRIPTURE. INSTEAD OF PLACING GOD AT THE HEART OF THE CURRICULUM, PUBLIC SCHOOLS ARE PUSHING HIM OUT. AT PCS, WE EDUCATE STUDENTS THROUGH A BIBLICAL LENS, PROVIDING A STRONG FOUNDATION OF TRUTH TO STAND ON AS THEY GROW AND MATURE. OUR GOAL IS TO GRADUATE STUDENTS WHO ARE CONFIDENT IN THEIR FAITH AND PREPARED TO SERVE HIM IN EVERY AREA OF LIFE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO CONTINUING TO PARTNER WITH CHURCHES, FAMILIES, AND MISSION-MINDED DONORS IN CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.Expenses $2,174,532 · grants $369,125 · revenue $2,254,055
