THE AFRICAN AMERICAN MUSEUM IN PHILADELPHIA ENGAGES DIVERSE COMMUNITIES IN APPRECIATING THE BLACK EXPERIENCE THROUGH THE NARRATIVE ART, HISTORY, AND CULTURE.
Program accomplishments
- THE MUSEUM'S COLLECTIONS CONSIST OF ARTIFACTS OF HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE AND ART OBJECTS, WHICH THE MUSEUM PRESERVES, MAINTAINS AND STORES IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS PRESERVATION POLICIES. THE COLLECTIONS, WHICH WERE ACQUIRED THROUGH PURCHASE AND CONTRIBUTIONS SINCE THE MUSEUM'S INCEPTION, ARE NOT RECOGNIZED AS ASSETS ON THE STATEMENT OF FINANCIAL POSITION.Expenses $2,726,726 · revenue $1,576,754
