GETTYSBURG HOSPITAL IS A TAX-EXEMPT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PROVIDING HIGH QUALITY HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE, WORK, TRAVEL THROUGH, AND VACATION IN ADAMS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA AND NORTHERN MARYLAND.
Program accomplishments
- LOCATED IN HISTORIC GETTYSBURG, PA., WELLSPAN GETTYSBURG HOSPITAL HAS BEEN SERVING THE COMMUNITIES OF ADAMS COUNTY AND NORTHERN MARYLAND FOR 100 YEARS.WELLSPAN GETTYSBURG HOSPITAL BEGAN PROVIDING PATIENT CARE IN 1921 AS THE ANNIE WARNER HOSPITAL. TODAY, IT IS A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED ACUTE CARE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL PROVIDING PATIENT-CENTERED SERVICES AND PROGRAMS THAT FEATURE HIGHLY SKILLED CLINICAL STAFF, LIFE-SAVING TECHNOLOGY AND MODERN FACILITIES TO ADDRESS COMPLEX MEDICAL, SURGICAL AND EMERGENCY CONDITIONS.BEYOND THE ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL, IT HAS GROWN TO BE A COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH-CARE PROVIDER WITH FAMILY HEALTH CENTERS ACROSS THE REGION, A VERY SPECIAL MATERNITY CENTER, HEART CENTER, HOME HEALTH SERVICES, PREVENTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION AND SCREENING PROGRAMS, AND 24-HOUR EMERGENCY SERVICES. GETTYSBURG HOSPITAL IS THIS AREA'S RESOURCE FOR MEETING HEALTH AND WELLNESS NEEDS. GETTYSBURG HOSPITAL HAD 5,550 ADMISSIONS, 21,433 PATIENT DAYS, 5,998 SURGICAL CASES, 33,273 EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT VISITS AND 410 BIRTHS DURING FISCAL YEAR 2025.DURING THE FISCAL YEAR GETTYSBURG HOSPITAL HAD THE FOLLOWING ACHIEVEMENTS:- HONORED WITH THE PARTNER FOR CHANGE AWARD AS A PART OF THE 2025 PRACTICE GREENHEALTH ENVIRONMENTAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS.
