990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • RiverCenter 2025 Activities and AccomplishmentsIn 2025 Red Bank RiverCenter (the organization that manages the Special Improvement District for the borough of Red Bank) continued to advance its mission to cultivate and promote a thriving economic environment in downtown Red Bank, and centered on business recruitment and retention, marketing and promotions, design and infrastructure, and engaging the community. This included more programming on Broadwalk, more tentpole events within the district, filling up vacancies with over 55 new businesses, a larger horticulture program, and additional support for existing businesses.
    Expenses $582,555
  • Business Recruitment and Retention:RiverCenter focused their efforts for business recruitment and retention on programs that kept our business district competitive with other nearby shopping centers, strip malls, and downtowns. We met with several new prospective new business owners and introduced them to landlords and brokers who show them potential spaces where they could site their businesses. We attended Planning and Zoning Board hearings to support applications for new mixed-use properties with retail space on the first floor. We also spotlighted new businesses by promoting them on our social media channels and congratulating them in our e-newsletter that gets distributed on a weekly basis to over 7,000 recipients. In 2025 we welcomed over 55 new businesses.
  • Marketing & Promotions: We continued to market the downtown Red Bank business district to our residents, neighboring communities and counties, and through the tristate area. This consisted of a new branding campaign that launched on multiple different facets. Online, social, static, NJ Transit, and media ads were taken out in strategic areas driving more shoppers and diners to the district. In 2025 we were able to continue to grow our social media audience and our e-newsletter that now has over 7,000 emails. Both feature new businesses along with events taking place in the district.
  • Marketing & Promotions, continued, - Promotional events included our Annual Sidewalk Sale, Streetlife live music and arts program, Halloween events, Pop Culture Event, and a full complement of holiday events including our Holiday Express Concert, town and tree lighting and weekly entertainment by carolers and musicians. - Expanded our programming on the Broadwalk, where the Borough of Red Bank closes down a portion of Broad Street and turns it into a pedestrian pavilion where there is programming and outdoor dining on the street.Broadwalk was programmed differently in 2025 from previous years. Local businesses were able to host an event on Broadwalk, more programming from free karate, Pilates, yoga and story time for kids.
  • Design & Infrastructure: In 2025 the RiverCenter - Maintained sidewalks and curbside by assisting with liter removal. - Beautified our streetscapes with seasonal blooms from April to November through our Horticulture Program, a partnership between RiverCenter, the Borough of Red Bank, and volunteers from the Navesink Garden Club. During the holiday season RiverCenter decorates the district with lights, garland and lots of holiday cheer with roaming carolers. The day after Thanksgiving, RiverCenter starts the holiday season with a large concert on Broad Street and "Lights Up" the town with Santa and his friends.
