Mission
High quality professional chamber-music concerts.
Program accomplishments
- The New Brunswick Chamber Orchestra (NBCO) season consisted of a Salon concert series and two major performances. The Salon series on The Revolutionary War in New Jersey through words and music ran five performances. It also featured a world premier by New Jersey composer, David Rimelis "The Times That Try Our Souls" performed in collaboration with the New Jersey Composers Guild. We held two full concerts, a Winter Concert, "Sounds Of The Season," which included collaboration with four local choirs, and the spring concert, "For Love of the New World," featuring Antonin Dvorak's Symphony "From the New World." Both concerts were held at Rutgers University Nicholas Auditorium. An educational component is always included during the performances providing details on the composer, the history, and the unique features of the composition presented by our artistic director. Some of the pieces of our salons and the concerts have been presented by radio broadcast and in digital format on YouTube. Our in-person performances served over 800 participants, and the digital performances allowed us to expand our outreach over social media.Expenses $37,119
