Mission
To promote music education. This is accomplished by raising money for music scholarships, donation of musical instruments to the under privileged and donation of the use of musical instruments to the music educational community.
Program accomplishments
- We provide both the use or outright donation of musical instruments to various music programs across the country. These donated instruments may be used by faculty and students for performance, practice, methods or to support outreach into the community.Expenses $7,096,315 · grants $2,076,453
- We receive donations of musical instruments by generous individuals who are no longer using them. Many of these instruments are refurbished and provided at no cost to individuals who would not otherwise have the resources to purchase.Expenses $4,691 · grants $4,691
- We do not award scholarships directly to the general public. Instead, we provide resources to many of our institutional partners who in turn select and award music scholarships at their discretion. As a result of the contribution from the Foundation, students at our partner universities are given the opportunity to continue their musical education.Expenses $433,605 · grants $433,605
