Program accomplishments

  • Our largest program service event is a 2 day dance competition the Arkansas State Championship Feis and Diamond State Feis. We hosted 191 dancers on Saturday and 205 dancers on Sunday. Dance competitors perform their traditional dances in front of judges showcasing the rigorous training discipline and stamina needed to advance through the different levels of competition. We brought in 6 adjudicators to judge and 2 musicians to play Irish music. We also celebrated Irish heritage with an Irish artwork competition and Irish soda bread competition. Ours is the only competition in the state of Arkansas and we had competitors travel from 11 states and represented 22 different schools. Our expenses for the event were $28,456 with income of $38,207 for entry fees. Our second largest event was the 2025 Ceilidh Night Fundraiser a traditional social gathering that features live Irish music dance performances Irish food and group dances for guests to participate in. This event allows the community to celebrate the Irish culture while learning traditional dances and enjoying social interaction in a way that the Irish would have done hundreds of years ago. We hosted 159 guests. Our expenses were $2089 for venue rental food and music and our income was $5924 from entry fees silent auction and bake sale. Our third largest event was dance performances during St Patricks Day week. Our dancers travel around Northwest Arkansas showcasing traditional and contemporary Irish dances in fun locations that entertain and interact with the community. The locations include the public library nursing homes breweries restaurants and public spaces during festivals. This is a free service but we did receive donations from individuals and a venue.
