Mission
CONSEJO HISPANO IS COMMITTED TO RESILIENT, PROSPEROUS AND POWERFUL LATINX COMMUNITIES IN WHICH PEOPLE AND FAMILIES THRIVE. THE ORGANIZATION AIMS TO ENSURE COMMUNITY WELL-BEING BY MAKING SURE THAT LATINX FAMILIES CAN PROVIDE FOR THEMSELVES, BUILD INTERGENERATIONAL WEALTH, AND STAY CONNECTED TO OUR CULTURE.
Program accomplishments
- EDUCATION: CONSEJO HISPANO PROVIDES STRUCTURED ACADEMIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOL-AGED CHILDREN OUTSIDE OF REGULAR SCHOOL HOURS. THE PROGRAM OFFERS HOMEWORK SUPPORT, READING AND MATH PRACTICE, ARTS AND CRAFTS, PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, AND FIELD TRIPS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE LEARNING, ENGAGEMENT, AND PERSONAL GROWTH. IT OPERATES IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN DURING OUT-OF-SCHOOL TIME.Expenses $571,944
