Mission
TO ENHANCE THE CAPACITY OF CARITAS CUBANA - THE ISLANDS EQUIVALENT OF CATHOLIC CHARITIES - TO MAKE LIFE CHANGING IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE MOST VULNERABLE PEOPLE IN CUBA. WE SUPPORT AND ENHANCE THE PROGRAMS OF CARITAS BY PROVIDING: DAYCARE OF AFTERSCHOOL CARE FOR CHILDREN AT RISK, TRAINING, MEALS AND THERAPY FOR THE DISABLED AND THOSE WITH DOWN SYNDROME OR AUTISM, NUTRITION AND RECREATION PROGRAMS FOR THE ELDERLY, COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THOSE WITH HIV/AIDS, AND EMERGENCY RELEIF FOR VICTIMS OF HURRICANES AND OTHER NATURAL DISASTERS. CARITAS CUBANA SERVES PEOPLE OF ALL RELIGIONS AND BACKGROUNDS.
