TO PROMOTE AND IMPROVE OPERATIONAL, SAFETY, LEGISLATIVE, AND REGULATORY CONDITIONS RELATING TO INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION AND THE INTERMODAL EQUIPMENT UTILIZED BY OCEAN COMMON CARRIERS SERVING THE FOREIGN COMMERCE OF THE UNITED STATES.

- WORKED ON BEHALF OF THE INTERMODAL TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY ON ISSUES RELATING TO THE OPERATION OF INTERMODAL EQUIPMENT.
- WORKED TO PROMOTE COMMON CARGO HANDLING PRACTICES AND RELATED DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESSES.
- FACILITATED THE DEVELOPMENT OF EQUIPMENT POOLS AT PORT AND RAIL TERMINALS IN THE U.S. AIMED AT RELIEVING CONGESTION, DEVELOPING MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR STANDARDS, AND IMPROVING EFFICIENCY AND SAFETY OF INTERMODAL CHASSIS.
