TO PERFORM OUTSTANDING CLASSICAL AND MODERN BALLETS THAT SET THE STANDARD FOR DANCER IN LOS ANGELES, NATIONALLY, AND INTERNATIONALLY. TO PASSIONATELY PURSUE INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY AND PERFORMANCE. TO CHANGE LIVES THROUGH ACCESSIBLE DANCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
Program accomplishments
- DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR, LOS ANGELES BALLET CONTINUED TO IMPROVE ITS FINANCIAL POSITION INCLUDING RECEIVING A $1MM GIFT TOWARDS OPERATING EXPENSES FROM A SINGLE DONOR. THE COMPANY PERFORMED A STORY BALLET WITH A LIVE ORCHESTRA IN ITS LARGEST VENUE, DOLBY THEATRE, A FIRST FOR THE COMPANY, AND INCREASED THE NUMBER OF NUTCRACKER PERFORMANCES AT DOLBY THEATRE, LEADING TO RECORD-BREAKING TICKET SALES. PERFORMANCES AT LARGER VENUES MEANS AN INCREASED CAPACITY OF AVAILABLE FREE TICKETS FOR COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE POWER OF PERFORMANCE PROGRAM. THE COMPANY WEATHERED THE LA FIRE DISASTER AND KEPT TO ITS PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE IN JANUARY. AS A SHOW OF SUPPORT, THE A CHANCE TO DANCE FREE CLASS PROGRAM SCHEDULE WAS DOUBLED TO PROVIDE RESPITE FOR PEOPLE DISPLACED BY THE FIRES. THE INCREASE WAS SO SUCCESSFUL THAT IT IS NOW THE STANDARD. ALTHOUGH THE EARNED INCOME GOAL FELL SHORT, THE 24/25 SEASON WAS THE COMPANY'S HIGHEST GROSSING SEASON FOR SALES.Expenses $3,901,583 · revenue $2,467,870
