Mission
THE HOWLAND PUBLIC LIBRARY AIMS TO BE A CORNERSTONE OF THE COMMUNITY, ADAPTING TO THE EVOLVING NEEDS OF ITS RESIDENTS. BY OFFERING FREE AND EQUAL ACCESS TO A WIDE RANGE OF RESOURCES, THE LIBRARY SUPPORTS INFORMATION DISSEMINATION, EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.THE LIBRARY'S MISSION IS TO ENHANCE THE COMMUNITY BY PROMOTING LIFELONG LEARNING AND FOSTERING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THIS IS ACHIEVED THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS THAT DRIVE INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS TO VARIOUS PERSONAL, COMMUNITY, AND SOCIETAL CHALLENGES. ESSENTIALLY, THE LIBRARY IS DEDICATED TO BEING A DYNAMIC AND RESPONSIVE HUB FOR KNOWLEDGE, GROWTH, AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT.
