Program accomplishments

  • IN 2024, GIRLS QUEST CONTINUED ITS MISSION OF DELIVERING ENGAGING AND FUN CAMP ACTIVITIES AT CAMP OH NEH TAH IN EAST WINDHAM, NEW YORK. THE 2024 SESSION REPRESENTED A NEW CHAPTER WITH ALUM J GREEN TAKING THE HELM AS CAMP DIRECTOR. WE INCREASED THE NUMBER OF CAMPERS TO ALMOST 50 AND SURVIVED A LENGTHY POWER OUTAGE ALONG WITH MORE RAIN THAN USUAL. NOTWITHSTANDING THAT, THE GIRLS ENJOYED ALL THEIR ACTIVITIES, ESPECIALLY THOSE INVOLVING THE DINING HALL WHERE WE HAD TWO FABULOUS CHEFS DOING SCRATCH COOKING FOR ALL OF THE CAMPERS AND THE STAFF. ARCHERY, CRAFTS AND OTHER DAILY FESTIVITIES ALSO KEPT THE GIRLS ENTERTAINED.OUR SISTERS IN CAMPING FROM CAMP SOJOURNER GIRLS' LEADERSHIP CAMP IN PHILADELPHIA RETURNED IN 2024 AND ENJOYED A SUCCESSFUL SESSION AS WELL.
