Mission
THE TELEVISION BUREAU OF ADVERTISING (TVB) IS THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT TRADE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTING AMERICA'S LOCAL BROADCAST TELEVISION INDUSTRY. ITS MEMBERS INCLUDE U.S. TELEVISION STATIONS, TELEVISION BROADCAST GROUPS, ADVERTISING SALES REPS, SYNDICATORS, INTERNATIONAL BROADCASTERS AND ASSOCIATE MEMBERS. TVB'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE THE USE OF LOCAL BROADCAST TELEVISION TO THE ADVERTISING COMMUNITY AND WORKS TO DEVELOP ADVERTISING DOLLARS ACROSS THE MEDIUM'S MULTIPLE PLATFORMS, INCLUDING ON-AIR, OTT, CONNECTED TV, ONLINE AND MOBILE.
Program accomplishments
- TVB PROVIDES A DIVERSE RANGE OF TOOLS AND RESOURCES, INCLUDING ITS WEBSITE, TO SUPPORT ITS MEMBERS AND TO HELP ADVERTISER MAKE THE BEST USE OF LOCAL AD DOLLARS TO EFFECTIVELY REACH THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE. DURING 2024, TVB SERVED OVER 750 MEMBERS, HELD AN IN PERSON EXECUTIVE SUMMIT AND A VIRTUAL FORWARD CONFERENCE WITH 5,000 ATTENDEES AND PUBLISHED SEVERAL RESEARCH REPORTS ON ITS WEBSITE.
